Клиническое обоснование применения различно. Дано клиническое обоснование использования у больных остеоартрозом (ОА) препарата Терафлекс, оказывающего отчетливое симптом-модифицирующее действие. Отмечено, что применение препаратов, потенциально способных модифицировать обменные процессы в хряще, привлекает к себе внимание, прежде всего, из-за возможности добиться стойкого уменьшения выраженности боли и воспаления при ОА и их безопасности при лечении ОА. Для компонентов препарата Терафлекс (хондроитин сульфата и глюкозамина) показано, с одной стороны, сопоставимое с нестероидными противовоспалительными препаратами (хотя и более медленное) действие на боль и функцию суставов, с другой - способность повлиять на течение заболевания и его исход, замедляя прогрессирование болезни. Указано, что длительное (1-2 года) использование Терафлекса у больных ОА с давностью заболевания не более 36 мес. позволяет достоверно улучшить качество жизни, а также уменьшить потребность в НПВП. Увеличить эффективность терапии можно, комбинируя пероральную и топическую формы Терафлекса.
