Abstract

The article analyzes the long-term results of surgical treatment of 107 patients with traumatic pathology of the brachioradialis joint, including the use, developed by the authors, models of individual radial head prosthesis. Osteosynthesis in fractures Mason-Johnston type II in 81% of cases showed "excellent" results of surgical treatment, 12.5% - "good" and 6.5% - "satisfactory". The Mason-Johnston type III of long-term results of osteosynthesis in 44% rated as "excellent", 41% - "good", 15% - "poor", and in the case of Mason-Johnston type IV “good" results were observed in 33% of cases, 16% - "satisfactory", 51% - "poor". The osteosynthesis of the capitellium fractures Bryan-Morray I and II shown in, basically, "excellent" and "good" results, while 100% of the osteosynthesis fractures Bryan-Morray III type received "poor" long-term results. Primary arthroplasty of the radial head in a case of multifragmentary fractures type Mason-Johnston III and type IV mainly indicates "excellent" and "good" long-term results. Primary resection of the radial head shows the "bad" long-term results of surgical treatment. Based on these data, an algorithm individualized patient care that improves outcomes in patients with lesions of the above mentioned anatomical region.
